Lucky Sweynesse is undefeated in six starts in 2023 and now sits co-second in the rankings. He improved his rating to 125 from 124 in the Sha Tin Vase (G3), which he won by 1 ¼ lengths while carrying 135lbs. The gelding’s other wins this year include the Chairman’s Sprint Prize (G1), Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup (G1), Centenary Sprint Cup (G1), Sprint Cup (G2), and Chinese Club Challenge Cup (G3).
 
Joining the Top 5 this month are Ace Impact and Luxembourg. Ace Impact, who is undefeated in four starts this year, won the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club (G1) by 3 ½ lengths in his first attempt at Group 1 company. Luxembourg, meanwhile, joins the rankings after defeating BAY BRIDGE (GB) [122] by a half-length in the Tattersalls Gold Cup (G1).
 
Additionally, AUGUSTE RODIN (IRE) [122] is ranked following his winning effort in the Betfred Derby (G1). He defeated KING OF STEEL (USA) [120] by a half-length, as the duo left the field behind them in the final stages of the race. One day prior, EMILY UPJOHN (GB) [121] impressed in the Dahlbury Coronation Cup (G1), which she won by 1 ¾ lengths over WESTOVER (GB) [120].
 
Meanwhile, in Japan, LIBERTY ISLAND (JPN) [120] dominated in the Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks) (G1), winning by six lengths to join the rankings. In April, she won the Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas) (G1).
