Japan elects VODKA as horse of the year

Five year old Vodka was elected Horse-Of-The-Year 2008. She is the first mare to win the title in 11 years and only third overall. Vodka won two of the seven starts in the 2008 season, including the Group 1's Yasuda Kinen and Tenno Sho. She already won the election of best two year old in 2006 and was also the first filly to win the Japanese Derby as three year old. Vodka can be seen in action at Dubai Racing Festival.
