Isle of Man changes online gaming law

The Isle of Man announced the modification of its 2001 Online gaming Regulation Act. The new law, drafted by a UK law firm, aims to provide an improved framework for the development of the online betting sector on the island.

In practice, the law will:

  • decrease the costs of software testing ;
  • allow operators licensed in other jurisdictions to establish back up operations ;
  • encourage the establishment of online advertisement agencies

    The government points out that the Island already offers a 0% corporate tax rate.
