Australian sports bodies to negotiate betting contribution

The Coalition of Major Professional Sports (Comps) has been allowed by Australian competition authorities to negotiate collectively with betting operators a contribution to their sports for the use of their data. The coalition includes Cricket Australia, the National Rugby League, the Australian Rugby Union, the Football Federation of Australia and Tennis Australia.

The countries largest sports betting operator Tabcorp welcomed the idea of a nationally applied minimum product fee to sporting bodies on Australian and Australian-linked sporting events.
