The LONGINES World's Best Racehorse Rankings (for 3yos and upwards which raced between 1st January 2022 and 9th October 2022)

FLIGHTLINE (USA) [139] and BAAEED (GB) [135] continue to dominate in the eighth edition of the LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2022, but Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe weekend in France had a major impact on the latest rankings.

KYPRIOS (IRE) [124] improved his rating to 124 from 120 following his explosive victory by 20 lengths in the Qatar Prix du Cadran (G1). He is undefeated in six starts in 2022, with his other wins coming in the Comer Group International Irish St. Leger (G1), Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup Stakes (G1), Gold Cup (G1), Saval Beg Levmoss Stakes (G3), and Vintage Crop Stakes.
 
ALPINISTA (GB) [123] is also new to the rankings after she defeated VADENI (FR) [125], TORQUATOR TASSO (GER) [124], and AL HAKEEM (GB) [121] in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1) to earn her rating. She is a perfect three-for-three this year, with her other victories coming in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks (G1) and Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud (G1). Alpinista, who has won her last eight races, has not lost since September 2020.
 
In North America, MODERN GAMES (IRE) [122] impressed with his victory by 5 ¼ lengths in the Ricoh Woodbine Mile Stakes (G1) to join the rankings. Earlier this season, he won the Emirates Poule d'Essai des Poulains (G1) in France. Meanwhile, TAIBA (USA) [122] also has joined the rankings following his three-length score in the Pennsylvania Derby (G1). In April, he won the Runhappy Santa Anita Derby (G1).
 
Additionally, Australia’s ANAMOE (AUS) [121] continued his winning streak by taking the Neds Might And Power (G1) by a head. It was his third consecutive victory after winning the Fujitsu General George Main Stakes (G1) and Winx Stakes (G1).
