Global promotion of best racing is weak

The international racing business community agreed that more has to be done to promote the finest races around the world. This was one of the conclusions that came out of the 2nd Annual Racing Business & Betting Forum, held in Paris on 2 October.

The Forum, organised by the IFHA and the European Pari-Mutuel Association was attended by 80 participants from 25 different countries, representing race track operators, image rights holders, written media, tote companies and others with a business interest in racing. The aim of the Forum is to bring the racing business side together to discuss ways to promote the trade in racing pictures, data and betting.

This year's event was dedicated to promoting the finest races in the world's racing calendar and the opportunities that Internet betting offers to racing.
